We know why this hasn’t happened yet
It isn’t the money. A rooftop system costs less than many families in the Gulf send home in a quarter. It’s that arranging construction work in India from two thousand miles away usually means relying on somebody else’s judgement, somebody else’s timeline, and somebody else’s version of what happened on site.
So we built the process the other way round. You approve, we execute, you see everything. Nothing needs your signature in person, and nothing needs a relative to stand over a contractor on your behalf.
Why it makes sense for an NRI household
The bill runs whether the house is full or empty
Fixed charges, a pump, a fridge, security lighting and one air-conditioner for visiting relatives keep the meter turning all year. Solar covers exactly that daytime baseline, in the months when nobody’s home to switch anything off.
A one-time remittance replaces a recurring one
Instead of sending money home every month towards a bill that grows, you fund an asset once and the bill largely stops. For most families this is the clearest return available on money already going to India.
The subsidy applies to your home too
PM Surya Ghar assistance is tied to the residential electricity connection, not to where the owner is sitting. That’s ₹30,000 at 1 kW, ₹60,000 at 2 kW and ₹78,000 at 3 kW or above. See the eligibility question below for what has to be in place.
Your parents stop dealing with power cuts
If elderly parents live in the house, a hybrid system with storage is worth more than the savings are. Lights, fans, fridge and router stay on through an outage, with nothing to start.
It makes the property easier to let or sell
A commissioned, net-metered rooftop with documented warranties is a transferable asset. For a house that’s rented out or may be sold, a near-zero power bill is a line in the listing.
You can watch it working from your phone
Monitoring shows daily generation, units exported and any fault, in real time, from anywhere. You’ll often know the system tripped before anyone in the house notices.

A video survey with whoever is at the house
Our engineer walks the roof over a video call with a family member, tenant or caretaker, measuring, checking shade and photographing the distribution board and meter. If nobody’s available we survey unaccompanied and send you the full record.
A proposal you can read on a phone
One page. System size, expected annual generation, exact make and model of every component, subsidy you’ll receive, net amount payable, payback period and commissioning date. Priced in rupees, with an indicative conversion.
Approvals without a trip home
We prepare the DISCOM and PM Surya Ghar applications and tell you exactly which documents we need and who signs what.

Paying from abroad
You can settle from your NRE or NRO account, or a family member in India can pay locally on your behalf. Whichever is simpler. We invoice in Indian rupees with GST, and every payment is receipted against your project reference so the paper trail stays clean.
Nothing is due before installation. Our zero-advance terms apply to overseas customers on exactly the same footing as customers in India.

Questions from Gulf-based owners
Can an NRI claim the PM Surya Ghar subsidy?
Generally yes. The assistance follows the residential electricity connection rather than where the owner happens to live. Three things need to be in place: a domestic DISCOM connection on the property, an Indian bank account for the transfer, and Aadhaar-based authentication, which MNRE made mandatory in 2026.
Where the owner can’t act personally, a family member holding power of attorney can usually run the application.

Do I need to fly home for any part of it?
No. The survey happens over video call, the proposal comes by email, and approvals are handled by e-signature and by us on your behalf.
If a physical signature turns out to be genuinely unavoidable for a particular DISCOM formality, we’ll tell you at the start rather than halfway through.
Who supervises the work if nobody in my family is technical?
We do. There’s no subcontractor to supervise, because the crew is ours.

My parents live in the house. Is a battery worth it for them?
Usually yes, and for reasons that have nothing to do with savings. A hybrid system keeps lights, fans, the fridge and the router running through an outage, with nothing to start and no fuel to arrange.
For elderly parents that’s the part of the system they’ll actually notice.
What if we sell the house later?
The system stays with the property. Module and inverter warranties are tied to the installation, and the net-metering arrangement transfers with the connection once the new owner applies to the DISCOM.
We hand over the full document set at commissioning, so a future buyer’s questions get answered with paperwork rather than assurances.
