A hybrid system does both jobs. It exports surplus to the grid like an on-grid system, and holds a reserve in a battery for when the grid drops.
Right for you if
You want on-grid economics but can’t tolerate outages. A home with someone working remotely. A house with a medical need. A clinic, a small hotel, a shop with refrigeration. Or any household that’s tired of starting a generator through the monsoon.
How it works
A hybrid inverter manages three sources at once: solar, battery and grid, on a priority you set. Typically that means run the house on solar, bank the excess, export what’s still left, and hold the battery for an outage. During a cut, your essential circuits keep running from stored power.

Keeping the subsidy
The grid-connected portion stays eligible for PM Surya Ghar. We structure the design and the paperwork so adding storage doesn’t cost you the subsidy. That mistake is common in systems we’re called in to look at afterwards.
What we’ll wire onto the essentials circuit
Lights, fans, the refrigerator and the router as standard. One air-conditioner if you want it, though it changes the battery sizing considerably. Tell us what genuinely has to stay on and we’ll build the circuit around that list.
Common questions
How long will the battery run my house?
It depends entirely on what you’ve asked it to run. A typical essentials circuit of lights, fans, fridge and router will run for several hours on a modest bank. Add air-conditioning and that becomes well under an hour on the same battery.
We work backwards from your list, not forwards from a battery size.
Does the changeover interrupt anything?
No. A hybrid inverter transfers in milliseconds, so lights don’t flicker and computers don’t restart. That’s the main practical difference between a hybrid system and a solar system with an inverter-battery bolted on.
