Solar Upgrades & System Revival
Already have solar? There’s a good chance it’s underperforming.
We get called out to a lot of three and four year old rooftops generating well below what they should. Sometimes the owner genuinely needs more capacity. More often there was never anything wrong with the panels. The installer simply left.
Right for you if
Generation has quietly dropped. The inverter throws errors. Your bill has crept back up. Your load has grown, or you’ve added an EV or air-conditioning. Or the company that installed the system stopped answering the phone.
What we do first
A full audit before anyone sells you anything. Actual versus expected yield, string-level testing, insulation and earthing checks, inverter logs, mounting and waterproofing condition, and a review of your net-metering sanction. You get a written report with a cost against each finding, including the ones you can safely ignore.
Then, as needed
- Capacity addition, within or beyond your existing sanctioned limit
- Inverter replacement, or an upgrade to hybrid
- Adding storage to a working on-grid system
- Replacing failed modules under manufacturer warranty
- Re-engineering a mounting structure that’s unsafe or leaking
- Retro-fitting monitoring to a system that never had any
- Taking over an abandoned system under our own AMC
Adding capacity to a net-metered system isn’t just bolting on panels. Going past your sanctioned load or approved capacity without revising the DISCOM agreement can put the whole net-metering arrangement at risk. We check what your sanction allows before we quote, and we revise the agreement where it’s needed.
If we find nothing wrong
Then you get a report saying so, and you’ve spent TODO: audit fee, or say it is free to find out your system is fine. That’s a good outcome and we’ll tell you plainly rather than inventing work.
Common questions
My panels look dirty. Is that the problem?
It’s often part of it, and it’s the cheapest thing to rule out. Soiling can cost a meaningful share of output, more so on flat-mounted panels and anything near a road or a dusty site.
But a sudden drop is more likely a string fault, an inverter issue or a failed module. Cleaning won’t fix those, which is why we measure first.
The company that installed my system has closed. Are my warranties gone?
The workmanship warranty is, because that was theirs. Module and inverter warranties are from the manufacturer and usually survive, provided you have the invoices and serial numbers.
Bring us whatever paperwork you still have. We’ll tell you what’s actually claimable and handle the claim if it is.
Book a system health check
Tell us roughly what your system generates now and what it generated when it was new. That comparison alone usually points at the cause.
