Energy optimization: using your solar generation better
Generating the units is half of it. Using them while the sun is up is what changes the bill.
Energy optimization is about matching when you use electricity to when your roof generates it. A unit you consume as it is produced is worth more to you than a unit exported and credited, so shifting flexible loads into daylight hours increases what you get…
Shift flexible loads into daylight
Washing, pumping, water heating and dishwashing are the easy wins because the timing rarely matters to you.
EV charging is the biggest single lever
An electric vehicle charged from the roof in the afternoon rather than the grid at night transforms the value of a system.
Know your baseline
Monitoring shows what you generate and when. Without that, load shifting is guesswork.
Efficiency first, capacity second
Sometimes the cheaper answer is to reduce a load rather than add panels to feed it.
Load shifting
The cheapest unit is the one you use as it is generated
Most households install solar and then carry on using power exactly as before. Moving the washing machine, the pump, the dishwasher and EV charging into the middle of the day costs nothing and changes the arithmetic.
Questions
Optimisation, answered
What can be shifted?
Water heating, pumps, washing machines, dishwashers and EV charging are the usual candidates, because their timing is flexible without changing how the house is used.
How do I know what is worth changing?
The inverter data shows when you generate and the KSEB bill shows when you consume. The gap between the two is the opportunity.
Does this need a battery?
No. Shifting load to daylight hours is free. A battery only becomes relevant when you want to move generation into the evening or ride through outages.
Is monitoring included?
Every system we install reports generation. Reading it is how you find out whether a change worked.
Trusted brands. Krafted for you.

Using it directly is generally worth more. Exported units earn net-metering credit, but a unit consumed at the moment it is generated offsets electricity you would otherwise buy outright.
If you can charge during daylight hours, yes. It is usually the single most effective way to increase the value of a rooftop system. It also affects what system size makes sense, so mention an EV at survey stage.
Yes. Monitoring shows what the roof is doing, and we are happy to talk through what to shift and when.
Next step
Start with the survey.
We look at generation and consumption together, not just the roof.
