System size

Driven by your consumption and usable shade-free roof area. This is the largest single factor.

Corrosion exposure

On the backwater belt – Panangad, Kumbalam, Nettoor, Thevara, Aroor – the structure and fixings must be specified for brackish air. That specification costs more and is not optional.

Connection and phase

Systems from around 6 kW upwards generally need a three-phase connection. A conversion, if needed, is a real cost.

Roof type and mounting

A Mangalore-tiled roof, a sheet roof and an RCC flat slab need different structures. If the roof needs strengthening first, that is separate work.

Inverter type

A string inverter, a hybrid inverter with a battery, or micro-inverters for a shaded roof are three different cost positions.

Subsidy reduces what you pay

For residential connections, PM Surya Ghar pays ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW, ₹18,000 for the third, capped at ₹78,000. Commercial connections are not eligible.

Anyone quoting a Kerala roof without seeing it is guessing at the two things that decide the answer.

Because we would have to invent the roof it goes on. The mounting, the corrosion specification and the inverter choice all move the figure, and a number that turns out to be wrong is worse than no number. The free survey produces a firm written proposal instead.

Residential rooftop systems qualify for collateral-free bank finance up to ₹2,00,000. We follow the application up with the bank.

No. There is zero advance. The first payment falls due once there is DISCOM feasibility approval for your system.

Brackish, salt-laden air corrodes ordinary mounting hardware and fasteners. Near the backwaters the structure and fixings have to be specified for that exposure, or the system's working life is shortened in a way that is not visible in the first year.
