Locally

How do I claim the PM Surya Ghar subsidy in Kochi or Ernakulam?

You register on the Government of India National Portal, your DISCOM, KSEB in Kerala, issues a feasibility approval, the system is installed by a registered vendor, KSEB installs a bi-directional net meter and inspects the installation, and the subsidy is then credited to your bank account. SunKraft handles the portal registration, the KSEB feasibility application and the net-metering agreement as part of the project.

In Kerala the step that sets the timeline is the KSEB feasibility approval, not the installation. Knowing that in advance is the difference between a realistic commissioning date and an optimistic one.

Questions

Subsidy in Kochi, answered

No. PM Surya Ghar is a national scheme with the same amounts everywhere: ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW, ₹18,000 for the third, capped at ₹78,000. What is local is the DISCOM handling it, which in Kerala is KSEB.

It varies by connection and by load, and it is the step that usually sets the overall timeline. We file the application and follow it up rather than leaving you to chase it.

Not for the parts we handle. We register you on the National Portal, file the feasibility application and handle the net-metering agreement.

That is not how the scheme is designed to work. Feasibility approval should be in place before installation, and the subsidy follows commissioning and inspection.

We will handle your claim.
