The process, end to end

The solar installation process in Kochi & Ernakulam, stage by stage

Six stages from the first survey to the subsidy reaching your account, who does what, and roughly how long each one takes.

Six stages: a free site survey, a written proposal within 24 hours, KSEB approvals and subsidy registration, installation and commissioning, switch-on with monitoring activated, and ongoing support. You pay nothing to begin: the first payment falls…

01

Free site survey

Roof measurement, shading through the day, meter and load check, and twelve months of bill analysis. One visit.

02

Written proposal

Panel layout on your own roof, component makes and models, and the subsidy you qualify for. Within 24 hours.

03

Registration and approvals

National Portal registration and the KSEB feasibility application, both handled by us.

04

Installation

Mounting structure and electrical installation by one team: typically two to three days on a domestic roof.

05

Net meter and switch-on

KSEB installs the bi-directional meter, the system is commissioned and handed over.

06

Subsidy and support

The claim is followed through to disbursal, then generation monitoring and maintenance.

IN OUR HANDS

Survey, design, the written proposal, registration, installation and commissioning. These we control, and the proposal comes back within 24 hours of the survey.

IN KSEB’S HANDS

Feasibility approval, the net-meter installation and the inspection. These follow the section office’s own timelines, which is why we do not promise a date we cannot control.

Who does what

Division of responsibility

The stage that sets the timeline is the KSEB approval, not the installation. The on-site work for a domestic system is typically two to three days.

We handle

✓  The survey and the system design

✓  National Portal registration

✓  The KSEB feasibility application

✓  Installation, testing and commissioning

✓  The subsidy claim, followed to disbursal

You provide

✓  Twelve months of KSEB bills

✓  Roof access on the survey day

✓  Consumer number and ID for registration

✓  Bank details for the subsidy claim

We would rather tell you what we cannot control than promise a date that depends on someone else.

Questions

The process, answered

The on-site installation for a domestic system is typically two to three days. The overall timeline is usually set by the KSEB feasibility approval, which varies by connection and load.

There is zero advance. The first payment falls due once there is feasibility approval from your DISCOM.

It helps, but it is not essential. If you are abroad we run the survey by video call and send dated photographs at each stage.

We tell you at survey stage, before the proposal. If strengthening or repair is needed, that is separate work we can carry out.

Start at stage one.

The survey is free and carries no obligation.
