Roofing work and solar mounting structures in Kochi & Ernakulam

The mounting structure decides whether an array survives twenty monsoons. It is not an accessory to the panels.

On the roof

What the structure has to do

The roof carries the array for the life of the system, so its condition and profile decide how the system is mounted and sometimes whether it can be installed at all. A tiled roof, a sheet roof and an RCC flat slab each need a different mounting approach, and a roof that needs repair or strengthening should have that done before panels go on, not after.

This is where being one team for the roof work and the electrical work stops being a slogan. If a survey finds a roof that needs attention first, we can do that work rather than hand you a problem and withdraw.

Why it matters

Most later faults sit where two trades meet

The mounting structure and the electrical installation are done by the same team. Most of the faults that appear years later sit exactly where two separate contractors would have handed over to each other.

Questions

Structures, answered

It has to be assessed. A survey checks the structure as well as the shading, and if strengthening or repair is needed we tell you before the proposal rather than after the panels are ordered.

Yes, with mounting made to the tile profile and the water path preserved. Forcing a generic structure onto a tiled roof is what causes leaks and cracked tiles.

Where the roof is unsuitable or too shaded, an alternative structure is sometimes the answer. It is a site-specific question, so raise it at survey.

Next step

Have your roof assessed.

Tile, concrete, metal or elevated. The survey establishes what your roof can carry.
